Enumeration formula for (2, n)-cubes in discrete planes
We compute the number of local configurations of size 2×n on naive discrete planes using combinatorics on words, 2-dimensional Rote sequences and Berstel-Pocchiola diagrams.
متن کاملOn some applications of generalized functionality for arithmetic discrete planes
Naive discrete planes are well known to be functional on a coordinate plane. The aim of our paper is to extend the functionality concept to a larger family of arithmetic discrete planes, by introducing suitable projection directions (α1, α2, α3) satisfying α1v1 +α2v2 +α3v3 = w. Several applications are considered. We first study certain local configurations, that is, the (m,n)-cubes introduced ...
متن کاملGeneralized Jacobian and Discrete Logarithm Problem on Elliptic Curves
Let E be an elliptic curve over the finite field F_{q}, P a point in E(F_{q}) of order n, and Q a point in the group generated by P. The discrete logarithm problem on E is to find the number k such that Q = kP. In this paper we reduce the discrete logarithm problem on E[n] to the discrete logarithm on the group F*_{q} , the multiplicative group of nonzero elements of Fq, in the case where n | q...
متن کاملCascaded Multilevel Inverters with Reduced Structures Based on a Recently Proposed Basic Units: Implementing a 147-level Inverter
A multilevel inverter is capable of generating high-quality stepwise pseudo-sinusoidalvoltage with low THD , applicable to high-power and high-voltage systems. These types of topologiesmay require a large number of switches and power supplies. This leads to much cost, large size, andcomplicated control algorithms. Thus, newer topologies are being proposed to decrease the numberof power electron...
متن کاملBrun expansions of stepped surfaces
Dual maps have been introduced as a generalization to higher dimensions of word substitutions and free group morphisms. In this paper, we study the action of these dual maps on particular discrete planes and surfaces – namely stepped planes and stepped surfaces. We show that dual maps can be seen as discretizations of toral automorphisms. We then provide a connection between stepped planes and ...
